Holy Family launched its first eSports Club tournaments in 2020 and continues to expand its offerings. In Spring of 2023, the club will have a newly designed and equipped eSport space.

In 2022, our eSports expanded the program to participation in the PlayVS high school league. During the Fall 2022 Mario Kart tournament, Holy Family placed in the top 16 teams out of 114 competing in the Central League Division.

This is an opportunity to participate in high school and to be rewarded at the college-level:

  • Nationwide, the amount of eSports scholarship money doubled from $8 million to $16 million during the 2020/2021 academic year.

  • In fewer than ten years, the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) had grown to include over 170 member institutions.
