Nordic Ski
Holy Family Nordic Ski program was started by an enthusiastic and experienced Nordic skier and Holy Family parent, Mark Thune, in 2009.
Since that time it has grown to more than 50 athletes with more competitive success each year including many individual state competitors and conference honors. Many Fire Nordic Skiers continue to ski in college programs and recreationally following graduation from Holy Family.
Head coach Nathan Kennedy encourages inexperienced and experienced skiers to join the program. He aims to teach an incredibly fun and challenging sport to as many students as possible and create a fun and rewarding experience for all athletes. His goal is to coach all skiers to be their best.
The Holy Family Nordic Ski team practices on our 72-acre campus and at county parks such as Carver Park Reserve and Hyland Park. Fire Nordic Skiers have a dedicated waxing room to prepare and store their skis in during the season.
