Track and Field Athletes Compete at State Meet

Senior Quinn Paulsen punched her ticket to state with a powerful 117’07” throw in the discus, earning her a second-place finish and her first trip to the state meet.

On the boys’ side, Breck Neubauer turned in a standout day, qualifying in both the 100M and 200M dashes as the section runner-up. Neubauer also helped propel the Boys 4x100M Relay team to a Section 6AA title alongside teammates Jake Orina, Luke Westrum, and Max Sampson. Their combined speed and precise handoffs secured a first-place finish and a coveted spot in the state lineup.

Additionally, Luke Tyson, who soared to a 6’1” jump in the high jump, claimed the section championship.

Update: 

Breck Neubauer brought the heat at the MSHSL Class AA State Track and Field Meet. He clocked a 10.99 in the 100M prelims and finished 9th in the state with an 11.18 in the finals. In the 200M, Breck qualified with a 22.63 and flew to a 22.10 in the finals to earn a 6th place state finish! He also competed in the 4x100M Relay, teaming up with Jake Orina, Luke Westrum, and Max Simpson—the Section 6AA champions. 

Quinn Paulsen secured her spot at state with a 117'07" throw in the discus, finishing as the section runner-up. She placed 17th overall at state with a throw of 105’-09”—a fantastic finish to a strong season! 

Luke Tyson also qualified for state in the high jump, capturing the section title with an impressive 6'1" jump. Tyson was unable to compete due to a scheduling conflict. However, he's expected to make a run at it again next year during his junior year.
