Five Athletes Sign with National Letters of Intent
Holy Family Catholic High School celebrates the achievements of five student-athletes during the Fall 2025 National Letter of Intent Signing Day.
2024 National Letter of Intent Signees
Five Holy Family athletes signed their National Letter of Intent to play college athletics. More athletes will sign their letters of intent during the second semester of this school year.
CAMERON DEAN
University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles - Baseball
Intended Major: Health Sciences or Business Administration
Career Highlights: Cameron has had an impressive high school athletics career as a multi-sport athlete and will receive eight varsity letter recognitions— four in baseball, three in hockey, and one in football—by the end of his high school career. Cameron was recognized as a Wright County Conference All-Conference baseball player his junior season and recorded the third-highest slugging percentage in school history. During his time with the baseball team, Holy Family reached the state tournament his sophomore season and had the highest AA QRF ranking in the state in his junior season. Cameron has also excelled in the classroom at Holy Family, earning honor roll status every semester.
Most Memorable Holy Family Moment: Beating Litchfield in the Section Championships.
BRIANNA DELORENZO
University of Sioux Falls Cougars - Softball
Intended Major: Elementary Education
Career Highlights: By the end of her senior year, Brianna will have accumulated six seasons of letter awards, which include four years in softball and two years in basketball. Her junior season efforts led to one of the most accomplished softball seasons in Holy Family Catholic softball history, including a third-place section finish and the school’s first regular season championship at the Mound-Westonka tournament. Brianna was recognized as Wright County All-Conference in her junior season and will serve as softball team captain this spring. She has set the single-season stolen bases, runs scored record for Holy Family, and is a three times Fire Award winner. Brianna has already earned a Holy Family GPA Academic pin, 13 President’s List recognitions, and Holy Family Honor Society Membership.
Most Memorable Holy Family Moment: Beating Delano for the first time in school softball history last season.
SONJA LAAKSONEN
Western Kentucky University-Volleyball
Intended Major: Undecided
Career Highlights: Sonja finished her five-varsity season volleyball career as one of the most accomplished volleyball players in Holy Family Catholic High School history. She has been recognized four times as Wright County All-Conference and received All-State recognition twice. Sonja has piled up over 1000 kills and 1000 digs throughout her career and holds school records for single-season kills and career kills and digs. During her senior season, Sonja was on the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Region team and the All-American watchlist. Sonja is a consistent honor roll student.
Most Memorable Holy Family Moment: Beating Mound in five sets during her junior and senior seasons.
JOSIE LINN
University of New Hampshire Wildcats-Womens Hockey
Intended Major: Accounting and Finance
Career Highlights: This is Josie’s sixth season on the girls hockey varsity team. She is only the third player in Holy Family history to reach 100 points. She has been recognized as Wright County All-Conference honorable mention twice and All-Conference first team her junior season. Josie has helped lead the Fire to five consecutive Wright County Conference championships and five consecutive section runner-up finishes. Josie is consistently recognized on the Holy Family President’s List, and while in Durham, she will study accounting and finance.
Most Memorable Holy Family Moment: Traveling to the Duluth tournament and visiting the United States Hockey Hall of Fame with her teammates.
BRYCE WIITALA
Lindenwood University - Hockey
Intended Major: Pre-Law
Career Highlights: Bryce is a three-year letter award winner for Holy Family, has been recognized as a Wright County All-Conference player, and was named an assistant captain for his senior season. Bryce helped lead the Fire to a WCC Conference championship during his sophomore season and is a United States Hockey League phase one draft pick by the Madison Capitols.
Most Memorable Holy Family Moment: Scoring multiple goals against Edina High School.
