Holy Family Catholic High School is excited to announce the appointment of Sophie Pawlyshyn as the new head coach for the girls' soccer program.
Bringing an impressive background in coaching, player development, and collegiate soccer experience, Coach Pawlyshyn is set to lead the Fire to continued success both on and off the field.
Coach Pawlyshyn joins Holy Family with a strong coaching résumé, most recently serving as a director and coach for CC United Soccer Club, where she manages scheduling, curriculum development, and player training. Her experience also includes coaching with Coerver Coaching, where she specialized in skill development for athletes ranging from preschool to high school and serving as a track and field coach at Chanhassen High School. Her ability to adapt training programs to the needs of individual athletes has been a key factor in her success.
A standout student-athlete at Concordia University St. Paul, Coach Pawlyshyn was a key player on the womens soccer team, earning All-Conference honors and ranking fourth in school history for assists. In addition, Pawlyshyn has assistant coaching experience from Hamline University. Her background as a leader on and off the field will foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and growth within Holy Family’s soccer program.
Activities Director Rory Oster shared his enthusiasm for the hire: "Coach Pawlyshyn brings an incredible combination of coaching expertise, playing experience, and leadership to our soccer program. She is widely considered a rising superstar among the Minnesota coaching ranks.
