Football Clinches Section Title, Heads to State Tournament
With a commanding 43-29 victory over Jordan, Holy Family Catholic High School’s Fire Football team has claimed the 2025 Section 2AAA championship, earning a spot in the State Tournament. The win caps a standout fall season for the Fire, who have demonstrated resilience, skill, and teamwork week after week.
Next up, the Fire take on Waseca in the state quarterfinals this Saturday, November 8, at Apple Valley High School. Kickoff is scheduled for noon. Fans are encouraged to show their support as the team aims to carry its sectional momentum deep into the state playoffs.
The 2025 season has been one for the record books, with the Fire’s high-powered offense and determined defense making them a force to be reckoned with. Players, coaches, and the entire Holy Family community now turn their attention to the state stage, where another thrilling chapter of Fire Football awaits.
Details for the November 8 game are:
- Ticket Information: Adults, $13; Students, $9. No passes accepted. Ticket Link
- Fan Bus: If you are interested in riding a fan bus to Apple Valley on Saturday, the bus will load at 10:30 AM and leave no later than 10:45 AM. The fan bus cost is $5 per rider, payable in cash, upon loading. Please complete the form by Thursday at 12:00 p.m. Students interested in riding the fan bus should use the link provided in the November 3 activities update.
- Team Send Off: We’d love to see you on Saturday at HF at 9:30 AM as we line the entrance and send Fire Football off to the State Tournament with our full support!
