Fire Girls Golf Returns to State Tournament
Holy Family Catholic High School’s girls golf team has once again earned a coveted spot in the MSHSL Class AA State Tournament, following a dominant performance at the Section 2AA Championship.
Led by consistent, focused play and a strong team spirit, the Fire captured the Section 2AA title in commanding fashion. Every golfer contributed to the win, showcasing the depth and determination that define this year’s team. Freshman Keira Schuster paced the Fire with a stellar second-place finish, followed closely by seniors Sophia Terris (4th) and Paige Kroll (6th). Easton Cizek also cracked the top ten, finishing 9th, while Elin Bocks (11th) and Nora Swartzbaugh (17th) ensured that all six Fire golfers placed in the top 20.
This champtionship marks another exciting chapter for the Fire girls golf program, which continues to grow in talent and reputation. The team now sets its sights on the state tournament at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan, where they will compete against Minnesota’s top golfers.
