Holy Family Theater Welcomes New Director

A Distinguished Theater Professional Joins Our School

Kevin CK Berg, our new Theater Director, brings a wealth of knowledge and a rich background in theater to Holy Family Catholic High School. His experience as an assistant college professor, college and community theatre director, and acting instructor at the University of Northwestern-St. Paul makes him a distinguished addition to our school.

Berg’s formal education includes a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Communication from Concordia University Chicago. His diverse experience, from educational roles to hands-on theater production, makes him an exceptional leader for our performing arts program.

Berg's alignment with Holy Family’s mission to empower and encourage students to achieve personal excellence within a community of faith drew him to apply for the theater director position. He describes, “My background and experience resonate with Holy Family's commitment to providing students with opportunities to grow spiritually, morally, intellectually, and physically. Under my direction, the Holy Family Theater will serve as a catalyst for growth in multiple areas, limited only by our collective imagination and the theater company’s will!”

Transforming the Performing Arts Experience

Principal John Dols expressed his excitement about the transformative impact Mr. Berg's arrival will have on the performing arts experience at Holy Family. He stated, "We are thrilled to welcome Kevin to our school. His extensive background in theater and his dedication to the arts will provide our students with unparalleled opportunities to develop their talents."

Those interested in learning about Holy Family’s theater program should plan to attend the following:

• Meet Mr. Berg and Theatre Games, Introductions, and Q&A Days: 8/26 to 8/29 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.This is an informal time for students to pop into the theatre after school to meet our new theater director, Mr. Berg, play games, and ask questions.
• Performing Arts Info Night: 9/4 at 6:00 p.m. This is for all interested students and parents to learn more about band, choir, and theatre events for 2024-25.
• Fall Musical Auditions: 9/9-9/11 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Fall Musical Performance Dates: 11/14 - 11/16 at 7:00 p.m. 11/17 at 2:00 p.m.
• One-Act Interest Meeting: 10/28 at 3:30 p.m.
