Boys Golf Wins State Title

Boys Golf Team Triumphs at State Championship

On Wednesday, June 12, the Holy Family Boys Golf team clinched their third team title in five years at the 2024 Minnesota State High School League Class AA Championship. The final round was shortened to nine holes, during which the team scored a 3-under 141, finishing with a total of 438, 16 strokes ahead of their nearest competitors.

Senior P.J. Herron led the team with an impressive performance, opening with a 1-under 71 on Tuesday. He followed this up with a 1-under 35 in the final round, securing second place individually with a total score of 2-under 106. Senior Tully Super, a MGA Mr. Golf Finalist, also contributed significantly, shooting an even-par 36 on Wednesday to finish tied for 11th. Teammates Ryder Carlson and Mick Herron both tied for 14th, helping to ensure the team’s victory.
