Eight Holy Family Fire Student-Athletes Sign Fall 2025 NLI

Holy Family Catholic High School proudly celebrated National Letter of Intent (NLI) Signing Day on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, honoring eight exceptional student-athletes who are continuing their academic and athletic journeys at the collegiate level.

The signing ceremony took place in front of the students’ families, friends, coaches, and the entire student body, recognizing their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence both on and off the field. More athletes are expected to sign and be recognized during the second semester.

The Fall 2025 signees include:

Isla Johnson will attend the University of Jamestown in Jamestown, North Dakota, to play softball. Isla has received six varsity letters in softball, was recognized as an all-conference outfielder in the Wright County Conference, and served as a two-year captain for the Fire. She has been on the President’s List for six consecutive semesters and plans to study exercise science while playing for the Jamestown Jimmies.

Brooklyn Weise will attend and play volleyball for the Tigers of Doane University in Crete, Nebraska. Brooklyn earned seven varsity letters—four in volleyball and three in softball—helping lead her teams to some of the most successful seasons in recent years. She was recognized as a Wright County Conference honorable mention volleyball player in 2025, amassed over 1,000 career digs, and set the Holy Family single-season digs record. Brooklyn has also been on the President’s List every semester, is a member of the National Honor Society, and a DECA state qualifier. She will focus her studies on business.

Chloe King will attend and play hockey for the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire. Chloe earned four varsity letters in hockey, was recognized as an all-conference player in the Wright County Conference, and helped the Fire secure two conference championships, including a section championship and a third-place state finish, in her junior year. She has been recognized as an honor roll student and plans to pursue a degree in health science.

Maddy Kimbrel will play hockey for the Badgers of the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Maddy earned six varsity letters, participated in four Minnesota state hockey tournaments, and received all-conference and all-state honors in 2023–24 and 2024–25. She has also represented Team USA internationally. Maddy has been recognized as an honor roll student and is undecided on her field of study while playing for the Badgers.

Ella Nonweiler will attend Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts, to play hockey for the Skyhawks. Ella earned three varsity letters, helped the Fire win two conference championships, a section championship, and a third-place state finish in the school’s first-ever state tournament appearance. She earned all-conference honorable mention in 2024 and 2025, has been on the honor roll every semester, and will focus her studies on health science.

Taryn Richter will play hockey for the Purple Knights at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont. Taryn earned three varsity letters in hockey and two in track and field, contributing to conference championships, a section championship, and a third-place state finish in 2025. She has excelled academically, earning a spot on the President’s List every semester, and will study pre-med while competing for the Purple Knights.

Katya Sander will play hockey for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. Katya earned six varsity letters across hockey, lacrosse, and tennis, anchoring the Fire hockey team to three conference championships, a section championship, and a third-place state finish. She has been recognized on the President’s List every semester, is a DECA state finalist, and will continue her athletic career with the Gophers while undecided on her field of study.

Kayla Swartout will also play hockey for the University of Wisconsin Badgers. Kayla earned six varsity letters across hockey, soccer, and lacrosse, serving as goalie and helping lead the Fire to three conference championships, a section championship, and a third-place finish at the state tournament. She has been recognized on the President’s List every semester, serves as a First Impression STAR student, and is undecided on her field of study.

 

Today’s celebration highlighted both their athletic achievements and academic successes, showcasing the holistic development and tradition of excellence at Holy Family Catholic High School.
