The Fire Trap Team participates in the fall league of the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League and the spring league which culminates in the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League State Trap Shooting Championships.
The fall season lasts for six weeks on from mid-September through mid-October. The fall team practices on Tuesday afternoons at Watertown Rod and Gun Club. All participants must have completed MN DNR Firearm Safety before they can participate and our coach to participant ratio is 1:4.
In 2015 Fire Trap Team took sixth place in the state tournament. In 2015 alone, there were 425 schools competing on 268 high school trap teams in Minnesota.
