Placement Tests

Freshman Class Placement Tests
January 21,  2012
Placement Tests for prospective ninth graders will be administered at 8:00 am. This is not an entrance exam; it is a testing that allows for HFCHS to place the student in a course level where they can experience success. For students with an enrollment application on file there is no charge. All other students will be charged a $25 fee for the Placement Exam, and students should plan on arriving by 7:50 am. Students do not need calculators for this exam. Pre-registration is not required.  In order to avoid conflicting with family plans, this year's placement test has been intentionally moved off of Martin Luther King weekend.

Math Placement Tests
June 2, 2012
If you are an incoming 9th grader and registering for any course above Algebra 1 (such as Geometry, Honors Geometry, or Honors Algebra II), then you must take a mathematics placement test. For more information, visit the Math Placement FAQ. In order to take the placement test, you must either be a current student or have a completed application for enrollment on file.

Foreign Language Placement Tests
If you are an incoming 9th grader and registering for any course above the first level of a foreign language, then you must take a foreign language placement test. Language tests may be scheduled in the late spring through Principal Kathleen Brown at (952) 443-4659.  In order to take the placement test, you must either be a current student or have a completed application for enrollment on file.
