Middle School Engineering Program
Holy Family Catholic High School will be offering a free Pre-Engineering course to any eighth grade student during the 2016-2017 school year. Course content will include drafting principles and Computer Aided Drafting (CAD). Students will complete a variety of 2D and 3D drawings and hands-on activities to gain a deeper understanding of engineering principles. In addition, they will be able to use our 3D printer to print an assignment they can take home.
Students who successfully complete the course will earn a semester Holy Family technology credit. Also, completion of the course will give students the opportunity to take Engineering II during their freshman year. Engineering II is the gateway into advanced course offerings such as Robotics.
There are two opportunities for students to take this class. The first opportunity will start September 6, 2016 and end on January 13, 2017. The second opportunity will start on January 17, 2017 and end on June 1, 2017. Both sessions will run 7:30 -8:14 a.m. and follow the Holy Family School Calendar. Parents and students will be notified of dates when the class will not meet depending on which session you enroll in.Register for Middle School Programs
