Swimmers from Holy Family participate in the Mound Westonka-Holy Family co-op. Coached by Ben Hanson, swim practices are held at the Mound Westonka High School pool every day after school. The girls swim and dive team is a part of the Wright County Conference and Section 3A.
Each year the team sends multiple team members to participate in the state meet where they compete against the top high school girls swim programs in Minnesota. In 2015, four Holy Family athletes not only qualified for the MSHSL State Class A Swim Meet but also made it to the final race by placing in the Top 16 during preliminaries. Leading the team were Holy Family Catholic High School seniors Shea Braden and Clare Simon. Braden took fourth place in the 200-yard IM, swimming in the championship heat for the second year in a row. Simon placed fifth in the 100-yard freestyle, making the podium and setting a new school record in prelims with a time of 52.75. She also had a great swim in the 200-yard freestyle, taking 14th place in finals.
Holy Family swim team alumni continue to college programs such as the University of West Virginia, University of Maryland and the University of Sioux Falls.
