Girls Basketball

Holy Family Catholic High School’s Girls Basketball program offers athletes interested in the game of basketball an opportunity to be a part of a successful Minnesota high school basketball program. Beginning with freshman year, athletes with varying levels of abilities gain valuable knowledge and game experience before moving to the varsity program for their sophomore through senior years. Fire Girls program has experienced recent success with three consecutive appearances in the section championship, a section championship title, and a MSHSL State Tournament appearance.

Fire Girls Basketball has a long history of sending players to the college ranks including most recently Hannah Schonhardt ’12 at D1 University of Northern Iowa, Michaela Rasmussen ’13 to D1 University of Dayton, and Molly Smith ’16 to D1 Marist College. Multiple players are also playing with regional universities such as Gustavus Adolphus College and the University of St. Thomas.

Brandon Antl

Brandon Antl was announced as Holy Family Catholic High School’s coach on May 20th, 2020.

Holy Family Catholic High School in Victoria, MN, is pleased to announce the hiring of Brandon Antl as the school’s new head girls basketball coach.

Antl most recently served as a Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN.  Prior to his time at Macalester, he served as a graduate assistant coach for two seasons at Benedictine College, a Catholic NAIA school in Atchison, Kansas.  In addition to his experience coaching at the collegiate level, Antl also arrives at Holy Family with previous varsity girls and AAU experience.

He began his career as an assistant coach with the MN Stars girls AAU program, and eventually became a head coach with the MN Rise boys program, before joining the MN Fury program, where he currently coaches the 15U Boys. Coach Antl also spent two seasons as the Varsity Girls Head Coach at Alden-Conger High School, located in southern Minnesota.

Antl is originally from Albert Lea, MN and completed his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2013, with a major in Marketing and a minor in Coaching. He then went on to complete his Master of Business Administration degree in 2019 from Benedictine College.
