Girls Basketball

Holy Family Catholic High School’s girls basketball program offers athletes interested in the game of basketball an opportunity to be a part of a successful Minnesota high school basketball program. Beginning with freshman year, athletes with varying levels of abilities gain valuable knowledge and game experience before moving to the varsity program for their sophomore through senior years. Fire Girls program has experienced recent success with three consecutive appearances in the section championship, a section championship title, and a MSHSL State Tournament appearance.

Fire Girls Basketball has a long history of sending players to the college ranks including most recently Hannah Schonhardt ’12 at D1 University of Northern Iowa, Michaela Rasmussen ’13 to D1 University of Dayton, and Molly Smith ’16 to D1 Marist College. Multiple players are also playing with regional universities such as Gustavus Adolphus College and the University of St. Thomas.

Holy Family Catholic Girls Basketball is the current Section 5A Champions and 2019 MSHSL Class AA Consolation Champions. Senior guard Leigh Steiner is a Ms. Minnesota Basketball finalist and All-Tournament Player.
