Art Club is open to all students who enjoy creating, viewing or socializing in connection to art. Monthly meetings take place in the art room after the end of the school day. It hosts several creative opportunities throughout the school year including pumpkin carving, gingerbread house competitions, and Christmas ornament painting.
This group also contributes bowls to the PROP Food Shelf Empty Bowls fundraiser. We provide over 1000 bowls to the annual soup dinner and fundraiser. Students and staff join the service project to help the art club members create and glaze bowls in the school’s ceramic studio.

Teaching and creating art has been Shelagh Gamble’s lifelong passion. Mrs. Gamble graduated with her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction along with a Master’s of Education from the University of Minnesota.
Over the past few years, she has been an advocate for justice through the Empty Bowls project. Mrs. Gamble hopes to infuse her students with the same passion for art that has enriched her life.
