Key Admissions Dates

The following is a list of the upcoming admissions dates and deadlines for students planning on enrolling for the 2012-2013 school year. Any questions regarding any of these events or dates may be sent to Rob Bell, Director of Admissions,or Laura Podergois, Admissions Associate.

SEPTEMBER 1:  Applications accepted.

OCTOBER 15 – MAY 15:  Students may take advantage of our Shadow Program, offering them the opportunity to visit Holy Family for an entire school day. Guests are paired with a student with similar interests and they can experience a typical day in our school. Parents are required to call in advance to schedule a shadow day for their child.

NOVEMBER 8:  Fall Open House | 6:30pm

DECEMBER1:  Early Application Deadline. Incoming ninth graders who submit an Application for Enrollment by December 1 will have their $200 application fee waived.

JANUARY 12:  Winter Open House | 6:30pm

JANUARY 5 – FEBRUARY 23:  Applications for financial aid must be requested from HFCHS and will be available to students who have submitted an Application for Enrollment. Tuition for 2012-2013 will be set by the school's Board of Directors during late fall or early winter. Tuition for 2011-12 is $12,240.

JANUARY 21:  Placement Tests for prospective ninth graders will be administered at 8:00 am. This is not an entrance exam; it is a test that allows for HFCHS to place the student in a course level where they can experience success. For students with an enrollment application on file there is no charge. All other students will be charged a $25 fee for the Placement Exam, and students should plan on arriving by 7:50 am. Students do not need calculators for this exam. In order to avoid conflicting with family plans, this year's placement test has been intentionally moved off of Martin Luther King weekend.

LATE JANUARY:  Registration Materials Distributed. All returning and transferring students entering grades 10, 11, and 12 will receive registration materials for the upcoming school year. Online class registration must be completed and submitted to the school along with a $150 registration fee by Monday, March 5. After March 5, the fee increases to $200.

FEBRUARY 1:  Financial Aid Priority Deadline. Requests for financial aid should be made to HFCHS using TADS online service by this date. All Archdiocesan high schools are provided independent financial need analyses from the same service. The financial aid application must be completed and returned directly to the service with the appropriate documentation and application fee. Only one application per family is required. Applications submitted by March 1 will be given priority consideration.  Requests for financial aid may be made after the priority deadline.

FEBRUARY 21 or FEBRUARY 23:  Freshman Class Registration. Families may attend whichever evening fits their schedule best; both evenings begin promptly at 6:30 pm and there is no advantage to attending one session over the other. At this time placement test scores will be provided to families, tuition contracts will be collected, and students will register for their 2012-13 classes. The registration fee is $100. Students may continue to register for classes throughout the school year and summer months; however, elective options may fill and be unavailable.

FEBRUARY 1:  Lasallian Award Deadline. Completed application, including typed essay and should be postmarked to the school no later than February 1.

EARLY MARCH:  Financial Aid Awarded to families qualifying for tuition assistance. Families will be contacted by the school and receive updated contracts to be returned to the school immediately. Contracts become binding on July 1.  Families applying after the March 1 priority deadline will be contacted regarding financial aid awards as soon as possible, but can expect that it may be at a date later than the priority deadline recipients.

JUNE 1:   Placement testing date for incoming freshmen who wish to register for math beyond Algebra 1.  For more information regarding math and foreign language placement tests, click on the following link: placement tests.

JULY 1:  Tuition contracts for the upcoming school year become legally binding.
