About Fire Live!
Fire Live! is Holy Family's webcasting enterprise. It is a staff supervised, student run operation. Current resources allow us to stream most home varsity basketball games (see schedule).
Please Note: Actual webcasting of specific games in the schedule is subject to student involvement, i.e. volunteering, scheduling time, and commitment to the project and schedule. If there are not enough students necessary to complete the involved tasks, webcasts will be canceled.
Our streaming content is housed on our own server located in a large data center in downtown Minneapolis. Our address is simply: video.hfchs.org or http://video.hfchs.org
Fresh talent and resources from Holy Family's video production course, along with past crew members will provide the necessary production value to grow our operation. As time passes, we hope to create more content for our audiences and more opportunities for those students involved.
Depending on the content and the technical properties of the streaming media, we may adjust a variety of components, i.e. image size, bit rate and frames per second to provide acceptable quality to as many connections as possible. If you are experiencing trouble viewing or would like to know more about the image quality - check the 'Help' page.
